Digital Verification Manager

Efficient is looking for a Digital Verification (DV) Manager, who specializes in SoC verification and wants to influence the next computing revolution.  The ideal candidate will be an experienced manager with a strong background in engineering to lead our digital verification efforts for our first-generation product. The DV Manager will develop detailed specifications and a test plan to ensure a high-quality SoC. They will be responsible for the overall execution of this test plan by working closely with not only Efficient’s Engineering teams but also 3rd-party service providers. Thereafter, the DV Manager will help shape our internal processes for building robust and verified designs, including the company’s second product line, which targets scaled-up  performance and capability.

Key Responsibilities 

• Managing the digital verification team in verifying key components of Efficient’s technology by:
  • Writing digital SoC verification test plans
  • Setting the team’s roadmap
  • Creating, rescoping, and prioritizing digital verification tasks
  • Facilitating day-to-day operations, including conducting daily scrum/standup meetings
  • Collecting, collating, analyzing, and presenting coverage reports
• Developing the digital verification team by:
  • Conducting regular 1:1 meetings with team members
  • Creating growth plans with key performance indicators for each team member
  • Measuring and tracking the performance of team members
  • Being instrumental in the hiring process, screening résumés and conducting interviews
• Managing relationships with internal and external teams, includingsome text
  • Managing external 3rd-party digital verification service providers to ensure deadlines are met and project objectives are hit.
  • Acting as liaison between external service providers and Efficient’s engineering teams to ensure requirements are met, support is provided, and progress is made.
  • Working closely with the digital design team to close coverage gaps and to understand and fix bugs.

Required Qualifications & Experience 

• 5+ years of Digital SoC Verification project management experience with specific experience managing small external teams of verification engineers and/or vendors.
• Experience writing and maintaining System Verilog test benches and test components
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is required; Master’s degree or PhD is a plus.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in design verification.
• Experience writing custom and reusable verification infrastructure (drivers, monitors, agents, and models).
• Well-versed in coverage-driven, constrained random verification, including coverage analysis and coverage closure.
• Ability to analyze performance and correctness regressions to determine their root cause.
• Experience with script development for work automation, preferably experience with Python.
• Knowledge of computer architecture, processor design and implementation, hardware and software engineering, and software development toolchains is a plus.
• Knowledge of UVM/OVM or equivalent portable verification methodologies, as well as IEEE-1801 (UPF) simulation flows  is a plus
